Tartar Removal
“When we look closely at nature, everything becomes clearer to us.”
Tartar removal isn't just an aesthetic procedure – it's an essential part of preventive dental care. Removing it regularly protects the gums, safeguards the teeth and supports the overall health of the mouth.
Why is tartar removal important?
It removes buildups of plaque and mineralized tartar.
It prevents the development of gingivitis and periodontitis.
It freshens the breath and improves the feeling of cleanliness.
It provides a better foundation for aesthetic and restorative procedures.
It lets us monitor the condition of the gums and teeth at an early stage.

The process in 3 steps:
Examination and diagnosis
We start with a short clinical examination to assess the condition of the gums and the presence of tartar, plaque and stains. We discuss the cleaning frequency suitable for your case and give you individual advice for care at home.
Ultrasonic cleaning
We use a modern ultrasonic scaler that gently and effectively breaks down and removes tartar both above and below the gum line. The procedure is quick, painless and gentle on the enamel.
Polishing and smooth surfaces
After the tartar is removed, we polish the teeth with a fine paste to smooth the surface and prevent plaque from building up again quickly. The result is a fresh, clean and visibly brighter smile.
How often is it recommended?
For most patients, tartar removal is recommended every 6 months.
For patients prone to periodontal problems or undergoing orthodontic treatment, the interval can be 3–4 months.
